The physical education and sport department has been established as one of the subdivisions of teachers' preparation Institute in1962 and was granted a diploma in physical education. Since the academic year of 1987/1988, the educational program was developed and upgraded to provide Bachelor's Degree in Education from the Department of Physical Education and Sports-College of Basic Education- to students who successfully pass the program of study. According to the organized committee in the college, the process to transfer the physical education and sports department to independent college is in effective and to be completed in the near future. Perhaps the acceleration of the development of scientific and technological revolution in information have become more vital for the development of performance in all sectors of education and achieving quality and accreditation was the most important reason for organizing the first international conference of physical education, sport and health. The conference is aimed to study the problems associated with the areas of physical education and sport, health, in the State of Kuwait in particular, and also at the Arab and international levels in general. Moreover, the conference events will allow the scientific experts and specialists to exchange their views in order to achieve the best experiences and hoping to accomplish unique educational, athletic and healthy attainment for the people of Kuwait and the Arab world. There is no doubt that the Physical Education and Sports department of Basic Education invites and welcomes all researchers and scientists at the Arab and international level to take part of participation in the activities of this conference through research, studies or articles up to the level of creativity and excellence and contribute to a promising future for the people of Kuwait and the Arab.
